My work attempts to draw the viewer in through curiosity, intrigue and a sense of wonder while hovering between experiment and play. I am not interested in entertaining or escaping reality; instead I try to create a friction between the spectacle and stillness. The material of the screen has a jewel like brilliance and shimmers in a projection while the maquets are in almost suspended animation. They are anti-theaters with traces of action. The viewer gets the sense of having just missed the scene or something is about to happen. But everything is in constant buildup without ever climaxing. They are of empty rooms with a lazy curtain blowing in the wind, an endless heaving wave that never overtakes and with ambient lighting from a hidden monitor.
